Great new site for the Waubra community.

Waubra is 35 km northwest of Ballarat, and includes Addington, Burnbank, Glenbrae, Evansford, Ercildoune and Waubra.

The Waubra Township provides kindergarten, primary school, post office, general store and hotel services to the district, plus a range of recreation and sporting activities including the 2011 Central Highlands Football League Premiers, the Kangaroos.

Evansford’s own community centre is situated in the former primary school and the area is covered by several CFA brigades and Landcare Groups.

Based on rich volcanic soils, the area has a diverse base of agricultural production including, potatoes, pyrethrum, winter cereals and livestock. Views of the area are a diverse combination of cleared agricultural land, volcanic cones, forested older granite tors and the 128 turbine wind farm operated by Acciona Energy.
